The Arthur Barnes Fine & Mellow Jazz Series: Anthony Hervey Quintet
Monday, February 26 at 9 p.m.
Anthony Hervey and his quintet will be performing songs from the trumpeter’s debut album, Words From My Horn, as well as newer compositions. Hervey strives to embrace the entire continuum of Jazz music while bringing new stories to the genre. The music is guided by all things rooted in the blues, blending elements of hard bop, R&B, ragtime, and soul. Like the blues, Hervey’s music has an air of warmth and optimism that will leave people feeling uplifted and inspired.
