CELEBRATE THE NAC'S 125TH ANNIVERSARY

The National Arts Club will celebrate its 125th anniversary on October 12, 2023, with a gala event, however members will be encouraged to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the National Arts Club through a season full of events being planned by the Member Engagement & Activities Committee (MEAC).

History & Sunday Brunch on September 12
Our member Sunday brunches will be devoted to learning and discussing the National Arts Club’s surprising history.
$125 per person.

15-Minute Parlor Prosecco
Once a month, from September to December, enjoy one free Prosecco per member and learn about the history of the architectural and artistic legacy in one quick overview of the NAC with the president and other club members and staff. Dates and times to be announced.

SPECIAL EVENTS: DATES YOU SHOULD PUT ON YOUR CALENDAR

October 5: Dr. Eugene Weise will give an illustrated lecture on Tilden and the Mansion, in period costume. He will be doing so in the Tilden Room (billiards table area) which will itself have museum quality memorabilia donated by Dr. Weise.

October 20: “Best Sellers of 1898” will be presented by the Literary Committee as a panel discussion in the Sculpture Court from 4 to 5 PM, followed by a members-only reception in the parlors from 5 to 6 p.m. featuring Gilded Age music, hors d'oeuvres, and cocktails (for purchase). 

October 30: Augustus St. Gaudens and Victor David Brenner were sculptors and NAC members, responsible for new designs of the $10 and $20 gold pieces and of the Lincoln penny. The American Numismatic Association (ANA) will present in the Sculpture Court a program on US coinage that includes work from NAC members of the early 20th century.

November 2: The Roundtable Committee will sponsor Trivia Night (trivia centered on Tilden, the 1876 election, and NYC arts and culture).
