An Evening of Piano Masterworks Thursday, June 1 8:00 PM Angie Zhang, pianist, became the Second Prize Winner of the Eighth New York International Piano Competition in June 2016, a biennial event presented under the auspices of The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation. Described as a “valuable advocate for classical music from her generation” by New York Concert Review, Angie Zhang is a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship at Juilliard. A top prize winner in numerous competitions, Ms. Zhang recently won the 2016 Juilliard Concerto Competition as well as a top prize in the PianoArts North American Competition. Notable radio features include the National Public Radio’s popular show, “From the Top.” She has been a Maxwell Gluck Community Service Fellow for the past two years at Juilliard, working with acclaimed choreographer Aszure Barton. She was also featured in a recent episode of the Juilliard Open Studios app. Please join us for a memorable evening of virtuoso piano artistry.
