IMPRESSIONS AND OBSERVATIONS The Sketchbooks of Everett Raymond Kinstler

A native New Yorker, Everett Raymond Kinstler began his career at the age of 16 drawing comic books and magazine illustrations as well as covers for paper back books.As one of the “golden age” era of comic book artists, his work influenced the POP art school. He studies at the Art Students League where he later taught from 1969 - 1974. Kinstler ultimately made the transition to portraitist and his stature in the field in now legendary! The Fine Arts Committee is pleased to present this evening celebrating Kinstler’s 75 year journey as an artist. A painter of 8 US presidents from life, Kinstler will share recollections and insights from his early years in comic books to the many iconic personalities that have sat in his studio includung Dr. Seuss, Katherine Hepburn and John Wayne.
