Alexis Palmer Karl is the founder and perfumer of artisanal fragrance company, Scent By Alexis, and co-founder and perfumer of House of Cherry Bomb. Karl is a regular lecturer on the cultural and historical relevance of fragrance, fashion and art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Morbid Anatomy Museum. Karl teaches The Cult of Fashion and The Art of Scent at Pratt Institute and The School of Visual Arts. Her research on Victorian toxic beauty practices lead her to be the consulted expert on the subject for Bustle Magazine, New York Times: Women in The World, and Atlas Obscura.
