8:00 PM
Come to a cabaret! Gift yourself with a special holiday tribute to Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Cabaret stars Shana Farr and Steve Ross will perform classics from the R&H songbook, along with memorable music Rodgers and Hammerstein composed with other collaborators.
Renowned singer/pianist Steve Ross is a long time fixture in the Manhattan cabaret community. He appeared on Broadway in Noel Coward's Present Laughter and off-Broadway in his tribute to Fred Astaire entitled I Won't Dance. The press described Shana Farr as "sophisticated, intelligent, stirring," and so much more! She is known for her command of the stage, her ability to communicate, and tell a story, plus her glamorous style. She received a Bistro Award and the Julie Wilson Award as a "Rising Star."
Steve Ross and Shana Farr will be introduced by Lee Pfeiffer, publisher of Cinema Retro Magazine, where you can find interesting insights into the careers and lives of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
