Staged Reading

“Men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after,” Henry Thoreau said. Two middle-aged Yalies, whose life and careers have taken different turns, chew over old privileged times as they troll for pike. Then the Big One hits – and it’s more than a fish.
John Hancock has directed such films and TV shows as Bang the Drum Slowly, Weeds, Let’s Scare Jessica to Death, and Baby Blue Marine.
John Lahr has won a Tony Award as co-author of Elaine Stritch at Liberty; is the recipient of The National Arts Club Medal of Honor for Achievement in Theatre; and authored Tennessee Williams: Mad Pilgrimage of the Flesh, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Sheridan Morley Award for Theatre Biography. He was also a contributor and Senior Drama Critic to The New Yorker for twenty-one years.

Free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first-served. An RSVP is required for this event. Please email [email protected]
