[Architecture] The Gilded Age, also referred to as the American Renaissance, is an era associated with unparalleled growth, technological advancement, prosperity, and cultural change. Taking a close look at 20 of the finest buildings in New York City, An American Renaissance: Beaux-Arts Architecture in New York City has been painstakingly researched and beautifully photographed over many years. For this special event author Phillip James Dodd discusses the importance and legacy of our clubhouse, its architect, and former resident Samuel Tilden – and collectively their relationship with the Metropolitan Museum, New York Public Library, and the famed Frick Collection.
All programs are open to the public and free with registration.
