What Happened This Summer: ART2HEART March 8 - 30
The National Arts Club continues its exploration of the outburst of creativity that occurred in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020. ART2HEART played a major role in transforming the plywood barricades that defined the Manhattan landscape in that moment into messages of compassion, healing, and universal love. The core group embraced artists from six to seventy-six from all races and from all boroughs and beyond.

Greg Goldberg: Perimeter Paintings Through March 30
Greg Goldberg (American, b. 1973) distills light and color, two basic elements of painting, into open-ended visual narratives. Presented in this exhibition, for the first time, is Goldberg’s latest series, which uses the boundary of the canvas as a starting off point for determining the structure of the composition. Evolving over many months, the paintings develop an internal logic as they react to the changing light of each day. The architectonic order is composed of gestural marks and sensual hues in which individual, sequential relationships gradually form a complex, tight knit web. Both meditative and dramatic, the paintings are a visual history of this accretion through time. A native New Yorker, Goldberg’s paintings have been included in exhibitions at James Barron Art, Kent, CT and Artists Space, New York, NY, among others. Goldberg’s works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Estee Lauder Foundation, and numerous other private collections. In 2014, he was commissioned to create a series of seven large-scale paintings for One World Trade Center.

Everyday Magic: Artistic / Gnostic Impulses March 2 - April 27
Everyday Magic: Artistic / Gnostic Impulses considers how artists and occult practitioners use ritual as a catalyst for social change, personal transformation, as well as alchemy, both metaphysically and in the realm of materiality. The exhibition explores the inherent power generated with artistic creation and how ritual allows the artist to claim or reclaim sovereignty. Participants include Jaishri Abichandani, Courtney Alexander, Clarina Bezzola, Jesse Bransford, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Rebecca Goyette, Alejandro Guzmán, Clarity Haynes, Elizabeth Insogna, Aaron Johnson, Alexis Karl, Staver Klitgaard, Tamara Kostianovsky, L., Qinza Najm, Micki Pellerano, Lina Puerta, Sahana Ramakrishnan, Kenya (Robinson), João Salomão, Trish Tillman, and Kay Turner.

GOYA - Selections from Los Caprichos
from the Robert Henri Archive
March 2 - April 27
As both prints and images, the pages of Los caprichos are a groundbreaking experiment in modernism, establishing Goya as a precursor to the later movements of Post-Impressionism, Symbolism and Surrealism. Published in 1799, the album of eighty prints in etching and aquatint is Goya's testament to the wave of ignorance, superstition and common prejudice that enveloped Spanish society of his time.
The prints in this exhibition were discovered in 2014 in a bound and miscatalogued album which was part of the Robert Henri Library gifted to The National Arts Club by Janet Le Clair in 1994. They are part of the ninth edition published by the National Engraving Center of Spain's Royal Academy of Arts. This edition is noted for its clarity, deep impressions and fine paper.
Until further notice all exhibitions are by reservation only.
