Legal Landmarks

Wednesday, February 12
8:00 PM

Author Robert Pigott will present a revelatory slideshow drawn from his book, New York’s Legal Landmarks, a historical guidebook. It features courthouses past and present that were sites of sensational trials (both actual and in film), locations that figured in the nation’s constitutional history, law firms where great Americans practiced law, and the homes, schools, and final resting places of Supreme Court Justices. A native New Yorker, Pigott has been practicing law for over 30 years. He went to high school on East 15th Street and to law school on West 116th Street. He is Vice President and General Counsel of Phipps Houses, New York City’s oldest and largest nonprofit developer of low-income and affordable housing.

This event is free and open to the public, however an RSVP is required at nationalartsclub.eventbrite.com.

PLEASE NOTE that members of The National Arts Club are not required to RSVP. A block of seats has been set aside for our members, however seating is first-come, first-served and entry to the event can not be guaranteed. Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the event start time.
