Discussing the Works of Eileen Gray

Tuesday, February 11
6:00 PM

Cloé Pitiot, Curator of Art Nouveau at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and Caroline Constant, Harvard Professor of Architecture, will discuss the highlights of the exhibit currently on view at the Bard Museum of the work of the Irish-born artist and architect Eileen Gray. Gray settled in Paris, where she created not only the lacquer works, drawings, carpets and furniture she is known for, but also furthered her career as an architect. The speakers will examine Gray’s remarkable versatility as a designer and her iconic architectural practice. The exhibit at the Bard Museum has been assembled in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou in Paris and The Irish National Museum in Dublin.
