A BOOKLOVER’S GUIDE TO NEW YORK
Written by Cleo Le-Tan, Drawings by Pierre Le-Tan

Friday, November 8
6:00 PM

If New York is Book Country, then this is its definitive map. Enchantingly illustrated by the famed artist Pierre Le-Tan, Cleo Le-Tan’s beautifully designed guidebook provides a keenly etched picture of the city’s literary landscape, including descriptions of exceptional bookstores, interviews with fashionable booklovers such as Marc Jacobs, Graydon Carter, Tina Brown, Hamish Bowles and Tavi Gevinson, and snapshots of New York’s literary history. Ms. Le-Tan will discuss the process of compiling this appealing and essential book.

The National Arts Club is thrilled to launch our 2019-20 season with "Multiple Perspectives: Women in the Arts,” a three-month festival (September - November 2019) exploring women creators, leaders, and innovators. The festival features over 50 performances, readings, presentations, and exhibitions focused on the arts, past, present, and future. “Since its founding in 1898, women have been welcomed as full members of our Club. ‘Multiple Perspectives’ is an opportunity for the Club to build on this commitment while fulfilling our mission to promote the arts,” said Linda Zagaria, Club President.
