Join Colleen Hill, curator of costume and accessories at The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (MFIT), in a presentation of one of the most groundbreaking periods in fashion history, the 1960s.  From the early designs of Yves Saint Laurent to the popularity of ready-to-wear fashions by Emmanuelle Khanh, fashion of the 1960s traces the combined influence of French haute couture, ready-to-wear, and popular culture during this era. Hill holds an MA in Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice from FIT and is currently a PhD student at London College of Fashion. Since joining MFIT in 2006, Hill has curated more than a dozen exhibitions, including Exhibitionism: 50 Years of The Museum at FIT (2019) and Paris Refashioned, 1957-1968 (2017). She has also authored or co-authored six books on fashion and contributed to numerous publications. Parisian fashion is highly encouraged!

The National Arts Club is thrilled to launch our 2019-20 season with "Multiple Perspectives: Women in the Arts,” a three-month festival (September - November 2019) exploring women creators, leaders, and innovators. The festival features over 50 performances, readings, presentations, and exhibitions focused on the arts, past, present, and future. “Since its founding in 1898, women have been welcomed as full members of our Club. ‘Multiple Perspectives’ is an opportunity for the Club to build on this commitment while fulfilling our mission to promote the arts,” said Linda Zagaria, Club President.
