Rhyme, Women, and Song starring KT Sullivan & Company

KT Sullivan, artistic director of The Mabel Mercer Foundation, will present an evening of “Rhyme, Women, and Song,” saluting the great female songwriters: Dorothy Fields (The Way You Look Tonight); Betty Comden (The Party’s Over); Carole King (Will You Love Me Tomorrow); Billie Holiday (God Bless the Child); Carolyn Leigh (The Best Is Yet To Come); Joni Mitchell (Both Sides Now), and more. These classics will be presented by KT Sullivan: “vocally, comically, and theatrically assured as cabaret performers get” The New Yorker; Marissa Mulder: “one of the biggest break-out performers of the last five years” Time Out New YorkStacy Sullivan: “a commanding, willowy presence, who captures that rare combination of vulnerability and worldliness” The London Times; Natalie Douglas: “a true, true, star” BBC London Radio; and Marieann Meringolo, an exquisite vocalist and specializes in The Bergmans. 
The performers will be accompanied by the incomparable Jon Weber at the piano.


All events are free and open to the public, however an RSVP is required at nationalartsclub.eventbrite.com.

PLEASE NOTE that members of The National Arts Club are not required to RSVP. A block of seats has been set aside for our members, however seating is still first-come, first-served.




This event is a designated Multiple Perspectives: Women in the Arts event.

The National Arts Club is thrilled to launch our 2019-20 season with "Multiple Perspectives: Women in the Arts,” a three-month festival (September - November 2019) exploring women creators, leaders, and innovators. The festival features over 50 performances, readings, presentations, and exhibitions focused on the arts, past, present, and future. “Since its founding in 1898, women have been welcomed as full members of our Club. ‘Multiple Perspectives’ is an opportunity for the Club to build on this commitment while fulfilling our mission to promote the arts,” said Linda Zagaria, Club President.
