The Dean Martin Show, The Hollywood Palace (Jimmy Durante often hosted), Dinah Shore Chevy Show, Perry Como Kraft Music Hall, The Ed Sullivan Show, and The Colgate Comedy Hour (Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis often hosted) featured many of the biggest entertainers of the 20th century.  Will Friedwald takes us back in time to enjoy these shows. 
     Will Friedwald has written the award-winning A Biographical Guide to the Great Jazz and Pop Singers, Sinatra: The Song Is You, Stardust Melodies, Tony Bennett: The Good Life, Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies, and Jazz Singing. He has written over 600 liner notes for compact discs and received ten Grammy nominations. His book on Nat King Cole is forthcoming from Oxford University Press.
