Performance by Pianist Dominic Cheli Wednesday, January 30 7:00 PM Selected Works by Scriabin, Liszt and Brahms Pianist Dominic Cheli, was first-place winner in last year's Concert Artist Guild (CAG) competition. Praised for playing with “insight and tenderness” (The Heartland Journal), Cheli’s 2017-18 season included a performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Northwest German Philharmonic, as well as recitals at Steinway Hall in Beverly Hills, debut recitals at the Ravinia Festival and New York’s Mostly Mozart Festival. Cheli has received numerous awards from his alma mater Yale University, including the Elizabeth Parisot Prize and the Charles S. Miller Prize. Since 1951, CAG has helped more than 500 young musicians launch concert careers. CAG’s annual competition winners receive comprehensive management support, including a debut recital at Carnegie Hall.
