Jim Burns will screen his documentary about Jimmy Van Heusen, the four-time Oscar-winning songwriter who created timeless classics for Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby such as High Hopes, Swingin’ on a Star, Love and Marriage, Come Fly With Me, and Call Me Irresponsible. The height of their famous musical partnership was in the 1950s and 60s. Jim Burns's film Jimmy Van Heusen – Swingin’ With Frank & Bing aired on PBS and features interviews with Tony Bennett, Woody Allen, Shirley MacLaine, and Frank Sinatra, Jr. His latest film is She’s Got Jazz, featuring four rising young stars who are changing the face of jazz in the 21st century. In addition to feature-length film production, Burns produces video and multimedia programming for major awards events on both coasts. Author and journalist Will Friedwald will also show brief clips of Frank Sinatra.
