Managing Your Art Collections

Art lovers do you wonder how to manage, organize, catalogue, care and store works from your collection? This event brings together experts to discuss and provide insight on logistics for the art collection and infrastructure of the art world. The panelists will offer updates on trends in the art industry, the importance of proper storing and planning for collections, and how to address issues related to conservation and restoration of fine art, as well as related topics such as lending to museum exhibitions and engaging with other collectors and the media.

Laura Stirton Aust has been owner and paper conservator at ARTcare since 1988. ARTcare
provides fine art conservation and consulting services to private and
corporate art collectors as well as non-profit institutions and
museums. She earned a Masters of Science in Art Conservation from the University of Delaware / Winterthur Museum.Ms. Aust has written numerous articles on caring for art and has presented paper conservation lectures at several universities. Laura is vice president of the New York Conservation Foundation and on the Board of Advisors at Dieu Donne Paper Mill.
Edie Meyer, Vastari
is based in NYC where she heads up Business Development in the US for
Vastari, a technology company that connects private art collections with
museum curators in order to facilitate art loans. She
started her career working in marketing at The New Yorker magazine and
also worked for a number of technology start-ups. Edie lived in London
for 9 years where she worked in Business Development for art media
companies including Art Asia Pacific Magazine, Louise Blouin Media and
Art World magazine. Edie
has a BA from Lehigh University, an MBA from Fordham University. She is
a member of ArtTable and POWarts and is also the Art Liaison Committee
Co-Chair of the Global Fine Art Awards.
