Where are we located?

The National Arts Club is located in beautiful and historic Gramercy Park in New York City at 15 Gramercy Park South. We are easily accessible via car, public transportation, and CitiBike. The closest subways stops are the 6 train at 23rd Street and the 4 5 6 N R Q trains to Union Square. A Citibike station is located adjacent to the club on Gramercy Park South and Park Avenue.

Where can I park?

The NAC does not have a private garage. The closest public parking facilities are located on 20th Street before 3rd Avenue and on 21st Street between Park Avenue and Broadway. Hours of operation vary depending on the location.

What is dress code for members and guests of members?

Members and guests of members are asked to follow the NAC dress code. Collared shirts, turtlenecks or other sweaters are required for gentlemen at all times in the parlors and dining rooms. Jackets are required after 5:00 p.m. Ladies are required to wear dresses, suits, or clothing of equivalent formality.

Inappropriate attire includes, shorts and cut-offs, sweatshirts and sweatpants, leggings, denim of any kind, t-shirts, tank tops and crop tops.

What are the dining room hours and how do I make a reservation?

The National Arts Club dining room, parlors and bar are open only to NAC members and guests of members. Reservation should be made through our dining room office at [email protected] or 212.477.2389.

Our dining room hours are as follows:

  • Lunch: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Dinner: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • The bar is open from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.

  • The dining room and bar are closed Saturday and Sunday.

What are the gallery hours?

All four of our galleries are open Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.. There is no admission fee. Hours and availability are subject to change based on private events scheduled and specific exhibitors. Please see our Exhibitions page for most current hours and restrictions.

How do I rent gallery space or reserve one of the spaces for an event?

In order to rent a space for an event you must either be a member of The National Arts Club or have a current member sponsor your event. You do not need to be a member in order to rent one of our four galleries for arts exhibitions.

What is Gramercy Park and how do you get a key?

Gramercy Park is Manhattan's only private park. It is located directly across from the Club and is open to members only from dawn until dusk. As part of our membership benefits, members can check out the highly coveted key to Gramercy Park at our front desk. Please be aware that no photography of any kind is permitted inside the park.

What is an "Exhibiting Artist Member?"

How can I reserve a transient/guest room?

The National Arts Club's transient/ guest rooms are available only to NAC members and guests of members. Please contact the Front Desk at 212.475.3424, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. to inquire about availability. 72 hours notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will result in full billing.

Where are the archival records of The National Arts Club?

The archival records of The National Arts Club, covering the years 1898-1960, are housed at the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, located at 750 9th Street, NW, Victor Building, Suite 2200, in Washington, D.C. (202.633.7950). The archival records of The National Arts Club, approximately covering the years 1960 to the present, are held in the Club's permanent archives. Microfilm copies of the records are available at the New York branch of the AAA, located at 1285 Avenue of the Americas, lobby level (212.399.5015), and at the Boston Public Library; the Amon Carter Museum, Forth Worth, Texas; the M. H. de Young Museum, San Francisco; and the Huntington, Library, San Marino, California.The NAC records should be consulted by anyone wishing to do research on club history, including tracing past members and exhibitions.
