An Evening of Chamber Music

Thursday, April 14
8:00 PM

The acclaimed Chamber Music Program of the New York Youth Symphony returns to the Tilden Mansion with works by Debussy, Mendelssohn, and Beethoven performed by some of New York’s most talented student musicians. Celebrating its 53rd season, the New York Youth Symphony is the most awarded youth program of its kind in the nation, recognized for its innovative, tuition-free educational programs for talented young artists. The Chamber Music Program teaches the importance of listening and collaboration, and teaches students how to be good communicators and ambassadors of the art form. Some of today’s most prominent artists have come up through the New York Youth Symphony, including Marin Alsop, Gerard Schwarz, Ransom Wilson, and members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Join us for an inspired, and inspiring, evening with some of our brightest young artists.
