Illustrated lecture and discussion  

Terrie Sultan, Director of the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY, presents Image Building: How Photography Transforms Architecture. Sultan's talk is based on the exhibition that debuted at the museum last season.
     The survey is seen through the collective lenses of photographers from the 1930s to today, addresssing social, psychological, and conceptual aspects of architecture, revealing the ways photography frames the perception of architecture over time.
     Terrie Sultan has served in senior positions at the Oakland Art Museum, New Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art in DC, and the Blaffer Art Museum, Houston with more than 50 exhibitions and as many publications to her credit. Distinctions include membership with the International Association of Art Critics, College Art Association, and Etant DonnĂ© Co-Founding Board. Honors include Chevalier d’Honneur from the French Government.
