Lecture, presentation and a one night exhibition of gorgeous dolls

Join us for an evening on the history of fashion dolls and meet the new generation of collectible dolls for adults in a one-night-only exhibition, introduced by two of their prominent makers.
Joshua McKenney’s Pidgin Doll was conceived as a medium for the language of style and has become a style icon of her own since her debut in 2013.  Inspired by living personalities, Pidgin’s outfits are original collections in miniature.         Mel Odom’s creation, Gene Marshall, is based on the actresses of Hollywood's Golden Era, with costumes evoking the work of Edith Head. Born in 1995, Gene has been voted the most influential doll since Barbie.
Before artist Joshua David McKenney’s work progressed with doll-making, he had a successful career as an illustrator, working with brands, including, Mariah Carey, Dolce and Gabbana, Maybelline, and Dita Von Teese.
Mel Odom is a commercial artist and award-winning illustrator. He was a longtime contributor to Playboy magazine, and has created covers for CBS Records, Time and Omni magazines.

Doll fashion is highly encouraged!
