Architecture Architects of Community: Driehaus Prize Laureate Lecture:

Nada Breitman-Jakov and Marc Breitman are Paris-based architects known for improving cities through quality architecture and urbanism. They are the recipients of the 2018 Richard H. Driehaus Prize at the University of Notre Dame, an annual prize awarded to a living architect whose work embodies the highest ideals of traditional and classical architecture in contemporary society and creates a positive cultural, environmental, and artistic impact. The Breitmans’ careers as architects are a story of commitment to both social and aesthetic ideals. Previous winners of the Driehaus Prize include Robert A.M. Stern and Leon Krier.   
   Architects Nada Breitman-Jakov and Marc Breitman founded Breitman and Breitman in Paris in 1989. The firm’s projects range from highly attractive low-income housing in distressed areas of France to residences, schools, hotels and commercial blocks to entire neighborhoods and a mosque.
