MABEL MADNESS: The Life and Times of Mabel Mercer
Written by and Starring Tony Award Winner Trezana Beverley

Monday, June 11
8:00 PM with one intermission

A one-woman musical

Tony Award-winning actress Trezana Beverley (For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf) will grace the National Arts Club’s stage with her latest work MABEL MADNESS: The Life And Times Of Mabel Mercer.
Beverley performs the life of legendary performer Mabel Mercer, from her beginnings, as an abandoned child of a mix-race couple in Edwardian Liverpool, to her star-making partnership with the infamous Bricktop of Paris café society, to the colorful New York City night clubs of the 40s, 50s, and 60s, where her signature “story song” style influenced many of the great singers of the 20th century.
“...when Ms. Beverley sings, she makes the case beautifully for Mercer’s greatness of style...chilling...delightful” - The New York Times

THIS EVENT IS FULLY SUBSCRIBED. If you have not made a reservation via email with the Theatre Committee, you will not be admitted.
