The Dalí Ball

Friday, April 13, 2018  |  8:00 - Midnight

Journey through a surrealist dreamscape inside the storied walls of The National Arts Club.

Lettuce entertain you with an exploration of sound, sight, touch and taste celebrating illusory master and National Arts Club Medal of Honor awardee Salvador Dalí. Immerse yourself in the pigment of our imagination as the evening unfolds, with artistic dance, installations, and fashion and bespoke collaborations.

In homage to surréalisme, the Tilden mansion shapeshifts into sensorial floor-play, electrifying guests and setting the stage for the night’s star attraction. Funk pop band ZULA delivers its signature psychedelia as the club’s original architectural images project across the dance floor.

Let your mind wander through halls and corridors, or lounge in exclusive parlors, dining on canapés, sumptuous hors d’ oeuvres and luscious libations, as sultry crooner Erica Mancini commences the festivities.

Whimsical surprises of the subconscious haunt the night with fanciful fun like “Marbelous,” an intimate psychological exploration created for the evening by Whisperlodge.

Artistic collaborators Sonia Agostino of latex creation TABLEAUX VIVANTS and dark horse artist Adam Krueger create an art-fashion hybrid. The night’s fantastical beats continue with electronica maestro Christian Volstad of Bespoke Musik with guest violinist  Tom Chiu of Flux Quartet, ushering partygoers into the wee hours, before the post-sweet pièce de résistance!Surrealist Black Tie, Passed Canapés and Hors D’ Oeuvres, Dessert, On-going Select Beer, Wine and Absolute Elyx Cocktails.

The Dali Ball was created by members for members as a collaborative effort made possible with the support of the Architecture, Art + Technology, Film, and Theatre Committees.
