Intermissions: Photography and Poetry
 
with Daniel Gordon and Jibade-Khalil Huffman

Intermissions is a series of 14 black and white photographs by artist Daniel Gordon presented with 14 new poems by artist/writer Jibade-Khalil Huffman. In this unique performance presentation of Intermissions, Gordon's images will be projected with a live reading by Huffman. Gordon and Huffman will describe their collaboration on Intermissions and the conversation between photography and poetry.    
   Jibade-Khalil Huffman is an artist and author of three books of poems. He has exhibited with Atlanta Contemporary, MOCA Detroit, The Jewish Museum, The Studio Museum in Harlem and Swiss Institute.     
   Daniel Gordon is best known for large color photography depicting photo-collage. He has exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art New York and MoMA PS1. Gordon is the co-director of Downstairs Projects.
   Join the artists for a discussion after the presentation.
