Join Diana Riesman, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Wharton Studio Museum (WSM) for a cinematic look inside The Whartons, Inc. studio, where from 1915 through 1919 filmmaking  brothers Theodore and Leopold Wharton ran a bustling silent movie production house, attracting some of the best-known actors of the day - Irene Castle, Pearl White, Lionel Barrymore - to upstate Ithaca New York. The Whartons, pioneers in an emerging art form and industry, are known for episodic films such as Romance of Elaine and Patria.     
   Nonprofit Wharton Studio Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Ithaca's film history, including the historic Wharton Studio building.       
   Before moving to Ithaca in 2001, Riesman spent fifteen years in the film industry in NYC and Los Angeles, followed by her work in public radio at KCRW, an NPR affiliate, where she co-produced a number of shows including, Which Way, L.A.?, Good Food, To the Point, and Hollywood Wrap.
