A Virtual Architectural Stroll Through America’s History à Paris

Monday, March 12
8:00 PM

Visual presentation

Accompany virtual flaneur Cedric Benetti, on a tour of American history as it played out in the streets of Paris from the American Revolution and beyond.
An architectural historian and life-long Francophile, Mr. Benetti retraces the steps of Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Lafayette, Robert Fulton, Richard Morris Hunt and other history-making figures. Stop by the monuments and buildings that shaped and inspired American architecture or were erected by American architects and artists. And walk away with some surprising tales that didn’t make the history books.
Cedric Benetti is a writer, researcher and designer originally from Luxembourg. As a former creative and editorial director at an international fashion magazine in New York and Paris, he wrote regular articles and created photo editorials.
In Paris he studied interior architecture, design, art history, and architectural history at the Sorbonne and the Ecole du Louvre. He conducted scholarly research in NYC on residential and commercial architecture from the Gilded Age in the United States.
His photographic work has been exhibited at the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.

THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. A RESERVATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
