A Formal Evening with Alan Flusser

Brush off your black-tie best and join celebrated menswear designer and author Alan Flusser for a tutorial and conversation on the history of eveningwear, illustrated by live models and accompanied by the sounds of eminent Jazz-age bandleader and founder of the Jazz Age Lawn Party, Michael Arenella.       
   Alan Flusser is a Coty Award-winning fashion designer and the leading authority on the subject of classic male dress. He is the owner of Alan Flusser Custom and the author of four bestselling books, including his magnum opus Dressing the Man: Mastering the Art of Permanent Fashion, considered the definitive repository of menswear history. Flusser is also responsible for the defining look of the go-go 80s with his iconic costuming of actor Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko in 1987’s Wall Street.          
   Michael Arenella is a musician and composer with a life-long obsession with times past. He is best known as the itinerant leader of the 1920s revival band the Dreamland Orchestra.

Classic eveningwear is highly encouraged! Books will be available for purchase.
