The Pastel Society of America’s 45th Annual Exhibition:       
Enduring Brilliance!

September 5 - 30

Pastel paintings by 178 artists, including 14 by foreign artists from 9 countries, will be hung modified-salon-style to comprise the premier event for pastel artists worldwide. Awards will be bestowed among 67 artists selected by art scholar and former curator of the Brooklyn Museum Charlotta Kotik. On Friday evening, September 15, artist Richard McKinley hosts a free gallery tour and reception open to the public; Saturday, September 16, sees a free, open-to-the-public materials fair featuring 20 tables of quality pastel products; Sunday, September 17, at 4:00pm welcomes the 45th PSA awards ceremony, followed by a gala dinner.

A CELEBRATION OF PRINTMAKING
Prints From The NAC Permanent Collection

September 5 - 17


Beyond the beautiful canvases gracing the walls of The National Arts Club, the Permanent Collection holds a strong portfolio of modern prints. This season opener will feature works by Jack Youngerman, Mary Frank, James Rosenquist, Romare Bearden, Will Barnet and others.


TEN PRINTMAKERS


September 18 - September 30

For the first time this group of printmakers, inspired by John Ross and Mohammad Khalil, will show together. They are diverse in subject matter and technique, incoorporating woodcuts, linocuts, etching, monoprints, and monotype/lithographic transfer. The ten printmakers are Michael Arike, Steven Arnerich, Carla Bauer, Rosalee Isaly, Ronald Katz, Mohammad Khalil, Adrienne Lederman, Joan O’Connor, Bill Phipps, and Emily Trueblood. The exhibition was curated by Joan O’Connor and Rosalee Isaly.

The National Arts Club is pleased to present this solo show of recent works by Jeremy Ruiz, Assistant Printer and Studio Manager of the Lower East Side Printshop. Pulling from everyday experiences, Mr. Ruiz makes the ordinary magical through his exploration of place, light, color and transformation.
