The Eleventh Annual Young Poets Reading

Thomas Dooley earned his BA at Saint Joseph's University and his MFA at New York University. He is the Founding Artistic Director of Emotive Fruition, a New York-based collective of poets and actors. He teaches at New York University. His first collection Trespass won the open competition from the National Poetry Series in 2014. He is also the recipient of a James Merrill Poetry Fellowship (2017).
   Wendy Xu earned her BA at the University of Iowa and her MFA at the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst. She is the Poetry Editor for Hyperallergic and teaches at Columbia University. Her first collection is You Are Not Dead (2013); her second, Phrasis, won the Ottoline Prize from Fence books and will be published in April 2017. She has been awarded a Patricia Goedicke Prize and a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Rosenberg Fellowship in Poetry from the Poetry Foundation.
   Dara Mandle earned her BA at Yale University, where she was awarded the Clapp Poetry Prize, and her MFA at Columbia University. Her poems have appeared on E-Verse Radio and in the Brooklyn Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, and Harpur Palate, among other journals. She collaborated with artist Brece Honeycutt on a chapbook of poems, Tobacco Hour (2015).
