Upcoming Events

FashionSoeak Fridays: HOSOO
Friday, May 15
7:00 PM

In conjunction with the exhibit HOSOO: More than Textile in the Gregg Galleries join us for an interactive discussion with Mr. Masao HOSOO and a celebration of over three hundred years of textile design.
HOSOO is a Kyoto-based textile company founded in 1688 specializing in fabrics for high-end interior design and fashion. HOSOO’s history can be traced back to the Kyoto silk industry of the sixth century and the company is today widely acknowledged for its exceptional skills within traditional Japanese three-dimensional weaving techniques and for applying richly textured Nishijin weaving to contemporary design.
The exhibition HOSOO: More than Textile highlights a unique selection of products and artwork featuring HOSOO textiles, including collaborations with Tumi, Miharayasuhiro and Leica Camera Japan.
Japanese style is highly encouraged!
